Trama Harry e Tonto

Harry, un ex insegnante sulla settantina, vive nell'Upper West Side di New York, dove insieme alla defunta moglie ha cresciuto i suoi figli e nel quale ha trascorso la sua intera esistenza. Quando il suo palazzo viene demolito per far spazio ad un parcheggio, Harry comincia un viaggio on the road per gli Stati Uniti insieme al suo gatto. L'uomo fa visita ai figli e riscopre il mondo come non l'aveva mai visto prima, conoscendo nuove persone e dicendo addio a vecchi amici.
