Trama E' nata una stella

John Howard un tempo calcava i palchi attirando folle oceaniche ma ora la sua carriera di cantante è in netto declino, anche per via della sua dipendenza da alcool e droghe che gli impedisce di tornare a essere quello di una volta. L'uomo scopre una giovane, aspirante, collega che ha il sogno di sfondare nel mondo della musica e decide di promuoverla, finendo per innamorarsene e sposarla. Ma quando il successo di lei lo mette in ombra, il loro rapporto è destinato ad un tragico epilogo.
