Trama I crociati
Riccardo Cuor di Leone parte per la Terza Crociata al fine di evitare il matrimonio con la principessa Alice di Francia. Durante il viaggio sposa Berengaria per ottenere cibo per i suoi uomini. Quando la novella moglie viene catturata da Saladino, Riccardo attacca e conquista Acri, ma il suo nemico conduce la donna a Gerusalemme, complicando la missione.
