Trama 1921 - Il mistero di Rookford
1921, Gran Bretagna. Florence Cathcart, tra le donne più istruite del suo tempo, ha dedicato la propria vita a smascherare coloro che ingannano le loro malcapitate vittime tramite la superstizione. In seguito alla morte di un allievo nel collegio di Rookford, Florence viene ingaggiata dai professori affinché indaghi sulla scomparsa e al contempo sfati la credenza che vuole la residenza abitata da fantasmi. Ma a Rookford si nasconde un segreto che riguarda Florence molto da vicino e lei stessa dovrà mettere in dubbio ciò in cui aveva sempre creduto...
