Trama Un grande amore

In un viaggio a bordo della nave Napoli, che lo sta portando negli Stati Uniti dove convolerà a nozze in un ricco matrimonio, il dongiovanni francese Michel Marmet fa la conoscenza di Terry McKay, ex cantante di night-club anche lei prossima a raggiungere il futuro sposo. Ma durante il tragitto i due vivono una passionale storia d'amore e una volta arrivati si ripromettono di incontrarsi nuovamente sei mesi più tardi sul tetto dell'Empire State Building di New York. Ma il destino sembra voler ostacolare ad ogni costo la loro promessa, con diverse situazioni che rischiano di scombinare il piano.
