Trama The Birth of a Nation - Il risveglio di un popolo

Nel periodo che precede la Guerra Civile, l'afroamericano Nat è uno schiavo acculturato che si mette al servizio del suo padrone Samuel Turner al fine di sottomettere al proprio volere gli schiavi ribelli. Ma dopo aver assistito a moltissimi episodi di violenza nei confronti dei propri simili, Nat prepara un piano per liberarli. La sua iniziativa sarà però vittima di una cruda e spietata repressione da parte degli schiavisti.
