Trama Schiava del male

Nel 1903 il dottor Bailey incontra una donna misteriosa su un treno e scopre che questa sarebbe morta in tragiche circostanze. L'uomo intende vederci chiaro e chiede informazioni ai familiari della presunta vittima, i Bederaux, finendo coinvolto in un intrigo nel quale ci scappa anche il morto. Bailey viene inoltre attratto dalla splendida Alida, accusata dell'omicidio, e cerca di scoprire la verità.
