Trama L'ultima tentazione di Cristo

Gesù ha un solo desiderio, quello di vivere una vita normale come tutti gli altri uomini, e non sopporta il suo ruolo messianico. Gesù costruisce croci per i romani e inizia un viaggio senza una precisa destinazione, nel quale fa visita alla sensuale prostituta Maria Maddalena. Con lo scorrere del tempo il profeta comprende finalmente quale sia il proprio ruolo e con l'aiuto di Giuda Iscariota inizia a circondarsi di discepoli, trovandosi poi ad affrontare un aspro pellegrinaggio nel deserto nel quale è vittima delle tentazioni mandate dal demonio.
