Trama Il terzo uomo

Alla fine della Seconda Guerra Mondiale lo scrittore canadese Holly Martins si trova a Vienna per ritrovare un conoscente, Harry Lime, ma scopre con grande sconcerto che l'uomo avrebbe perso la vita. Il protagonista non crede però alla versione ufficiale delle autorità e decide di indagare in prima persona sull'accaduto, scoprendo come un terzo individuo sarebbe stato presente al momento della presunta morte. La verità coglierà Holly di sorpresa...
