Trama Copycat - Omicidi in serie

Helen Hudson è una profiler della polizia di San Francisco, specializzata nel dare la caccia ai serial killer. Un giorno è vittima di un'aggressione da parte di uno psicopatico e da quel momento comincia a essere vittima di agorafobia, finendo per essere vittima di esaurimento e divenire dipendente da alcool e medicine. Ha deciso di vivere barricata in casa, con tanto di tecnologico sistema di sicurezza e di videocontrollo. Quando un anno dopo la città è teatro dei delitti di un sadico assassino serial, Helen comprende come questi si stia ispirando ad altri delitti famosi e finirà per rimanere invischiata nel caso.
