Trama Come un tuono

Luke Glanton, abile pilota motociclistico, lavora come controfigura in diversi show itineranti. Quando si trova a New York riceve la visita della sua ex Romina, la quale lo informa di avere avuto un bambino da lui. Luke, anch'esso cresciuto senza un padre, decide di abbandonare il suo lavoro e assumersi le sue responsabilità, ma la donna si sta nel frattempo frequentando con un altro uomo e non è certa di rivolerlo nella vita del bambino. Luke trova intanto un impiego nell'officina di Robin ma il solo modo per guadagnare un po' di soldi è quello di compiere una rapina in banca: proprio grazie alle maggiori disponibilità economiche, Romina inizia a fidarsi nuovamente di lui, ma la situazione prende una piega imprevista.
