Trama Bugiardo bugiardo
Fletcher Reede, brillante avvocato, ha costruito la sua carriera su un mondo di bugie, spesso usate per vincere i vari processi, e anche la sua stessa vita privata è all'insegna della menzogna, tanto da aver spinto la moglie Audrey a lasciarla per il più affidabile Jerry. Fletcher ama con tutto il cuore suo figlio Max e proprio in occasione del giorno del suo compleanno il bambino esprime un desiderio, ovvero che il padre cominci a dire la verità e soltanto la verità. Da quel momento Fletcher è vittima di una maledizione che lo costringe a non mentire a niente e nessuno, una situazione che gli complica non poco la vita...ma che gli farà anche scoprire cosa vuole veramente.
