Trama 2022: I sopravvissuti
Anno 2022: la Terra è devastata dall'inquinamento e dalla sovrappopolazione. La natura incontaminata non esiste praticamente più e il clima è stravolto in senso torrido. Thorn è un poliziotto e come ogni buon poliziotto di New York pensa molto al suo lavoro, un giorno a Thorn viene assegnato un caso di omicidio importante: la vittima è William Simmons, un facoltoso membro del consiglio di amministrazione della Soylent.Ben presto si accorge che qualcuno dell'ufficio del governatore sta facendo pressioni sul suo capo sezione per insabbiare il caso e quando lui rifiuta di chiudere le indagini un sicario, durante un tumulto, tenta di ucciderlo ma senza successo...
