Trama First Man - Il primo uomo

Sono gli anni ’60 e c’è la corsa allo spazio in una lotta tra le due super-potenze, America e Russia, che si contengono il primato. Dopo la perdita della figlia, nel 1962, Neil Armstrong (Ryan Gosling) entra nella Nasa come pilota collaudatore dell’aereo-razzo X-15. Dopo una lunga serie di peripezie e una serie di tentativi falliti, l’uomo partecipa alla missione di Apollo 11 e, nel 20 luglio del 1969, diventa il primo uomo che ha messo piede sulla Luna. Un momento storico, un passo verso il futuro che, ovviamente, mette in moto una serie di considerazioni sulla natura umana e l’immensità dell’ignoto. Un film di grande impatto emotivo, che riverbera l’allunaggio ma si focalizza anche sulla condizione di Armstrong, descritto come uomo taciturno ma convinto delle sue potenzialità.
