Trama Devil's Knot - Fino a prova contraria
1993, West Memphis, in Arkansas. Tre bambini scompaiono nel nulla e qualche giorno dopo i loro corpi senza vita vengono ritrovati nel bosco. Un crimine che sconvolge la comunità e che dà il via ad una drammatica caccia all'assassino, con il modus operandi che spinge a pensare si sia trattato di un rito satanico. Ad un mese dal delitto vengono arrestati tre ragazzi ribelli: solo uno di loro, dopo dodici ore di interrogatorio, confessa. Ma non vi sono prove che confermino la oro colpevolezza e i testimoni non sono attendibili, ciò nonostante per loro viene firmata una condanna all'ergastolo. Ron Lax, investigatore privato, e Pam Hobbs, madre di una delle vittime, cominciano a pensare che la verità sia un'altra...
