Trama L'uomo d'acciaio

Il pianeta Krypton è prossimo a collassare su stesso per via del suo nucleo ormai instabile. A pochi giorni dalla salita al potere, avvenuta con la forza, del generale Zod, un bambino viene alla luce: è il figlio dello scienziato Jol-El ed è destinato a cambiare per sempre le sorti della Terra. Imbarcato su una navicella, il neonato atterra in Kansas e viene adottato dai coniugi Kent, che lo educano nel migliore dei modi. Con il passare degli anni i poteri alieni del piccolo, ribattezzato Clark dai genitori terrestri, vengono alla luce e in età adulta è destinato a diventare Superman, eroe pronto a lottare in difesa dei più deboli. E a difendere l'intera umanità da uno spettro del suo passato.
