Trama Il rapporto Pelican

L'omicidio di due giudici della Corte Suprema, ritrovati senza vita in circostanze misteriose, spinge la giovane Darby Shaw, studentessa di legge di New Orleans, a indagare sull'accaduto. La ragazza infatti è indirettamente legata a una delle vittime in quanto il suo amante lavorava per questi. Darby scopre informazioni scottanti e le condivide con Gray Grantham, reporter del Washington Herald, ma ben presto le persone che hanno a che fare con loro spariscono improvvisamente nel nulla. Quanto è in loro possesso potrebbe infatti compromettere personalità di spicco, per nulla intenzionate a far venire la verità a galla.
